Xperience have been a central work placement organiser since 1999 with a well-documented successful track record. Xperience successfully delivers up to 7,000 placements for young people at KS4, Post 16 and extended placements suitable for students on alternative curriculum pathways across Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield and Wigan. We currently link with over 16,000 employers across the geographical contractual areas.
In addition to school contracts, Xperience have a Routes into Work Graduate Programme and have also worked with DWP and the Lone Parents Programme, Leeds City Council’s Youth Contract, Head Start and other training providers.
Xperience offers a bespoke service for each group of clients built on many years of education, work related learning and work experience knowledge. The team is highly successful in its delivery and is committed to continuous service improvements.
Xperience can also provide a comprehensive service for any organisation wishing to participate in a bespoke work placement programme. This can be carried out based on different delivery models to meet the client needs.

This session can be delivered for up to 60 students to help prepare them before they go out on work placement. The session covers:
- making the most of your work placement
- student expectations
- employer expectations
- health and safety
- brief overview of interview skills.

Employability Skills Workshops
This session can be delivered for up to 60 students with a focus on interview techniques and taking a closer look at existing skills and how to develop skills for the future. The session is interactive and students will be expected to work in groups.

Panel of Experts
Employers have a vital part to play in ensuring students are prepared for the world of work. This employer lead session allows students who are going out on work placement to find out what a placement can offer, what type of tasks they are expected to perform and what the employer expects from the student. Students can ask the Panel of Employers pre prepared questions as part of this session.

Ready for Work Days
This session is aimed at students who may not be able to access traditional work placements on employers’ premises. Xperience organises a carousel of employer workshops providing “hands on” activities for students to gain a taster of work. The session ends with a Q&A Employer Panel.

Primary Careers Taster Days
Primary Careers Taster Days
This session allows Year 5 or 6 pupils the opportunity to explore careers by participating in a “hands on” Careers session with approximately 8 employers from a range of sectors. The session aims to raise pupil aspirations, introduce them to the world of work and job roles. They have the opportunity to find about employability skills and qualifications as well as developing their work based learning knowledge.
